I'm a prime customer so paying £7.99 a month makes sense for me. Also have an Echo so it all works great. As a streaming service it's great. It's the baby of the bunch and Spotify still wears the playlist crown imo but there is nothing I can't find on Amazon and it getting better and better with time. I've tried all the services, Google Play, Deezer, Apple Music, Spotify and they are all very similar in what they do and sound quality (as long as your premium on Deezer and Spotify) and Amazon works just as well with an enormous library, a great app and a great desktop client. I love this app. I have used many services in the past. MANY. Amazon Unlimited is hands down the best app out there. They've had songs and artists that other apps fail to deliver. I even searched local bands I've met and boom, they're on Amazon. I also love how lyrics are included in many of the songs. If ya haven't tried Amazon Music Unlimited, what are ya waiting for? There's a free trial! Go! Full Review

I have had Napster for years and have loved it. I have also had Amazon prime for years and loved that. When I found out that Amazon music was cheaper a month of you had Prime, I decided to check it out. The interface is almost the same and I love that every artist I listen to greets put into My Artists for eady access later; making playlists just got a lot easier. The only problem I've had is that it locks once in while when I'm adding to playlists, but even that isn't bad. I'm an Amazon Music convert. Full Review

Latest Update: Music pausing a lot, even with downloaded songs. //Big catalog and unlike GPM it's a dark theme. Looks and sounds great. BUT BIG DEAL-BREAKER: App doesn't pick up where you left off!!! So if you were listening to a song on a station or playlist and you close the app or don't use it for a couple hours instead of remembering where you left off (pausing) you are back to home screen and queue is reset!!! Amazon Prime is garbage! It advertises music/movies/books, but in actuality all it offers with Prime is older movies & music that are accessible free with the most basic cable packages & via YouTube's free apps! What it does is offer additional monthly subscriptions for access to newer movie & music! Essentially you're paying a monthly rate to be offered more monthly rates or for movies, "rent" "buy" offers! I'd stick with Tidal if I were you! Full Review

Liked the old version better. This updated version isn't as good. There's a lot more to do to get downloaded songs to your installed music app. If this app would incorporate all of the music I put my phone from my computer ; then I would use it all the time. Customer support is really good and gets your problems solved; I'm thankful to them. Full Review

This app is really great. I do however dislike the fact that the inventory is subject to rolling availability and that often times what you search for suddenly needs to be paid for. I also wish that the app had a way to quickly (and cheaply) order/buy the music that I have in my lists. Full Review

I was skeptical about paying for this subscription service, assuming there would be a limited selection. I'm happy that I was absolutely wrong. I've found music on here that has yet to be available through iTunes. This is a gem if you're looking for soundtracks. Worth every penny, especially if you're a regular Prime member. Full Review

Just made the switch to using my phone for my music. This was recommended to me more than any other music app. And I can't say enough good things about it. User friendly, fantastic audio quality and much, much more. I've only scratched the surface and am loving everything about it. Full Review

This app has been getting better. The My Music link to get to your own play lists and music you have bought is now on the menu. If you fancy something different the are many themed play lists including ones chosen on the basis of what you have listened to before. There are regular nags to subscribe to Amazon's music unlimited service when you start the so these can be a pain. Full Review

Better than Pandora BUT just sayin; Music library picks up on Ringtones/Notication sounds which you have to remove from Library if you want to Shuffle. Does not appear in Android Auto /supersadface. At least they fixed the Auto Start Playing fail bug. Yay! Full Review

Music lover here. i like this app a lot for its reliability and simplicity. Not bloated or flashy. If you want an equalizer, transposer, slow downer, editor or mixer this will not live up to your expectations. But as a grab-n-go music player it is the best. Full Review

I have Prime, so there's a lot of music I have access to, but there are some musicians and albums that aren't available on this service. One example is Secret Child by Moon King. I also can't find Com Truise. Either way, it's a mostly good service. If the library expands more, I'll give it 5 stars. Full Review

I like buying and listening to music with the Amazon music app. What I don't like is that the app now opens with a demand for purchase of a subscription. It also shows music that requires the subscription when I search for music that I want to sample and possibly buy. I have to go through gyrations to find the song and albums that are not about the subscription. It is very annoying. Full Review

Why is the online offline syncing so awful. In the online tab it says they're downloaded in the offline tab there are nowhere to be found. Only happens with random songs and when I try to re-download the album I loose even more songs. I would like to see this fixed. Full Review

Love the unlimited selection. The 2 things that need to be improved are 1. If you are in one playlist and choose randomly selected songs, it hold that setting for every other playlist you go to after unless you turn it off. 2. Every so often I'm told that music has expired, but it really hasn't and I have to go download it again. It's a pain Full Review

Update: I continually find that more and more of the content I love, is being restricted to those with Amazon Unlimited. The app started off great but as content restrictions increase it, it becomes a shadow of its former self and will eventually be useless. Original review with 4 stars: If you're a prime member this app is a no brainer and a must have. Tons of free music you can listen to on demand and create your own playlists. Easily explore music and expand your musical horizon with this app. Full Review

Still no support for Android Oreo 8.0/8.1 (Adaptive Icons). And please don't just shrink the icon and use a white background. Looks ugly. It has 2 layers: icon and background. Quick and easy to implement! Thanks :) if it doesn't happen until my subscription expires I'll switch back to Spotify. I don't want this app to be my only square icon. It's important to me that an app fully support the latest operating system and its features. Full Review

if you're cell carrier has this App already loaded with device there is some caution, but mainly because if you want to start out with the free trial you still need to add a credit card before you can use the free trial!. i have searched for the why's of this, and everything comes back stating if you have this particular carrier you need to contact them for any further information concerning the use of credit card!. sooo by far i will never use this App. Full Review

I hate this app. I want to love it because it have access to it for free with Amazon prime, but I nonetheless hate this app. There are things that I think should be fairly consistent through music apps that are not here. The controls are confusing. I would expect that the music that I already bought from Amazon would be the music that works best, but I was mistaken. That music which I have already purchased just won't play. It is rather confusing how to download and delete music. The app crashes somewhat frequently. There are too many things to not like for me to use this music service. Full Review

Reasons why Amazon Prime Music App is garbage: 1. The app keeps deleting my entire playlists. 2. The music skips. 3. When building playlists it won't add half the song I add even though they are prime and not unlimited. 4. Some songs even though prime and not unlimited will not add to my music library. ***I have been using this app for 4 years and it just keeps getting worse despite the fact that my SG8 is up to date and so is the app, and memory is not full. Up until the last update my review would have been 5 stars. It was great. But with the last update came the issue of the player pausing after every 1-2 songs. Annoying when trying to get work done. I also used it while I slept. But I can't use it for that purpose anymore. Therefore, if there's not a quick fix I'm going to be forced to cancel my subscription. Full Review

I love Amazon. I spend tens of thousands of dollars per year with them. I have 4 Amazon echos including view and smart home. I love amazon music - the service. But this app has one MAJOR flaw that would be so easy to fix, but is so bad I'm ready to switch to Google music. If you play Amazon music over blue tooth, say in your car, when you reach your destination, there is absolutely no way to actually close the app. None. Exiting the app only minimizes it. And although you can stop playing the song you cannot close the app. You are never more than one accidental click away from blaring Led Zep at the office. A close button should close the app in all circumstances. Period. Fix this or I'm moving to google. Full Review
