Google Pay is the fast, simple way to pay with Google online, in stores, and more. Book a trip, grab a meal, see a show, and enjoy new experiences—all without your wallet. Getting started is easy. Just add a card once from a participating bank and you’re ready to go.

Shop smarter. Google Pay lets you store everything you need to speed through checkout right on your phone. Plus, the new Home tab gives you the all the information you need, right when you need it. See your recent purchases, find nearby stores, and enjoy access to rewards while you shop.

Pay wherever you go. Google Pay works at millions (yes, millions) of places around the world, from retail stores to corner shops. Use it anywhere contactless payments are accepted – just look for the contactless symbol. Add your loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers to Google Pay too, and you’ll never miss a chance to earn rewards. With select merchants, you’ll even get special offers and reminders to use your card as soon you enter the store.

Online checkout is as quick as a click. With Google Pay, you don’t have to remember all your card details or fill out endless forms on your phone. Instead, pay with a few clicks and spend less time checking out, and more time checking in.

All the benefits of your cards. Without the cards. Missing out on reward opportunities is the opposite of fun – which is why you’ll still get all the same perks and protections of your physical cards when you use Google Pay.

Encrypted and secured by Google. Like all Google products, Google Pay comes with strong security protections at its core to continuously and automatically safeguard your account and personal data from security threats. And when you pay in stores, it shares an encrypted number instead of your real card details with the merchant. In other words, it’s got your back so your real card details stay safe.

Rack up the rewards. Add your loyalty cards, gift cards, and offers to Google Pay, and you’ll never miss a chance to earn rewards. With select merchants, you’ll even get special offers and reminders to use your card as soon you enter the store.

Google Pay is available on all non-rooted Android devices (KitKat 4.4+).

Two steps forwards, one step back. Good to see an update and unifying all payments on Google via this platform, but a less quick interface. It's less easy to get to loyalty cards now. A lot more taps to do the same thing as before. Not what you want when trying to speed up contactless payments. A shame. Previous review: Works, seamlessly and well and no issues at all. Would like it to show branding for loyalty cards and support more types of "ticket" but does exactly what it promises to do. Keep at it Google! Full Review

Love the new look. But in Canada it doesn't support TD and RBC, I know you want us to talk to these banks, but you're Google! Why don't you talk to them? And literally only 8 apps support Pay-in-the-app, no cineplex movie ticket integration, OMG.... A looooooong way to catch up with your competitor... Full Review

It would be nice to have the system generate receipt copies onto the app. 2/22/18 - Cleaner interface but the navigation was better on the old app. The stacked card look was a lot better imo. The old app was easier to access all cards in one place. Now it's 2 extra steps. Full Review

Update 20 Feb 2018: I'm using this excellent app more and more. So many shops take it now, I rarely spend cash.I even used it on the bus! However - and this is BIG - I still can't add my Tesco Visa Credit Card. Also, my Loyalty cards are now in alphabetical order - I can't have my 'most used' at the top. Tut tut Google. I love this app. It took me a while to get used to it but now I spend a fortune in Costa Coffee! At the moment I can only use my Halifax debit card - darn Tesco hasn't signed up yet. Some loyalty cards won't scan but that's a fault of the reader, not the app. Give it another few months and I'll be skint. 😉 Cheers Google. Full Review

Let's talk about something most aren't. Storing Gift and loyalty cards. Why would you limit the number of cards I can store on MY phone? I have called customer service numerous times and nobody has a reason. In fact, they all agree it makes no sense. It defeats the purpose of even having it Full Review

I like how easy it is to link. But if I could make it better Samsung pay has a way to swipe up from the lock screen to use it they could do that. And some kind of on screen confirmation that it registered right now I depend on the cashier to confirm Full Review

It became worse. Old google pay was so much better. I have a lot of cards for different purposes. Back than I could choose the default one with one gesture. Now I have to list one by one and carefully choose a card. And there are a lot of advertising inbetween. Brilliant! Full Review

The recent update has made it more awkward to get to loyalty cards, can't organise cards, and aesthetically looks worse than the Android Pay app that it replaced. Get rid of the "Home" page and just have the card page. Brilliant! Thank you! 👍🤦🏼‍♂️ Full Review

Loyalty cards don't have scannable bar codes - that makes using these cards less than ideal for places that require them to be scanned, which is most. Everything else in the app is perfect! Full Review

Yet another useful tool marred by an obvious push on advertising platform. The old interface was simpler and easier. Not seeing one useful improvement here. What you normally do is harder to access and what you don't care about is surfaced to the front. Full Review

I still do not understand why your restricting certain legal and active cards?! I use to be able to add my virtual cards from my bank in the simplistic Google Wallet. Then the devil came knocking and entered Android Pay preventing me from adding my virtual cards. So we were able to add any cards, ie physical or virtual, but now it's like Google is trying to the their users to apply for their card and I mean submit PII to get a legit credit card. Let us add our virtual credit cards once again. Otherwise I have no use for this app other than for it to store my loyalty programme cards. Love the now UI!🙄 Full Review

It works very well in terms of paying: I'm lucky that both my banks support Google Pay, so I use this app most of the time. The reward card functionality is less good - Google don't understand how reward cards are branded in Australia ("Coles Flybuys?!"), and it's impossible to add one that isn't in their list (and there are plenty).
