Favourite roguelike RPG so far! This game has been a blast for me, at first I thought it was a simple game where you just level up through killing NPC's but it is much more, I like that basicly nothing is p2w, you can easily get all the characters if you play the game! I like that the game is neither too easy or too hard, but challenging. I'm liking it so far (about 3 hrs of playtime). The variety of character items, skills and drops is really good. A very nice and (almost) polished game! Full Review

Sweet game! Rlly fun. Actually FREE to play which actually makes me wanna throw the devs a few bucks here soon. Also, I wasnt asked to rate the game until I was about 1/3 of the way through it! Pretty nice not being nagged constantly to rate and give money.. so im actually gonna rate and give money this time:) Way to go devs this game is awsome! Looking forward to playing it to completion. An instant favorite! Simple to learn, yet intensely challenging! As much as I can't stand most mobile games, I can't put Cardinal Quest 2 down! So much content and challenge packed into easily playable chunks. Excellent game, and one of the few real games on the Google play store! I'm even more enthusiastic because I finally whooped Asterion with my Ranger. Great time to ask for a review. ;) Full Review

Too good to explain in a short review This is the best mobile game I have ever played. Every class offers a new challenge and as your character progresses you get to customize within each class. Seriously there is so much opportunity for customization. From different starting perks you can choose, to the upgrade tree of each class, and to the items you pick up in a run. You can basically make any type of character you like with a bit of imagination. You can even change how your character looks. And gameplay changes based on how you customize! Full Review

Hidden Treasure Super duper fun and ftp. With lots features to unlock, characters to play, customization, and skill trees. This game is great. It also explains all of the character stats so you know exactly how point allocation affects your game play!! Only downside is the method for movement is bad. Not sure how else it would be done though. Full Review

Fun, casual, rogue like Perfect for when you need to put it down on short notice. Some games won't save or can't pause but this one you can and I find that really handy. It's a rogue like with perma death, but it's casual enough where the campaign modes are only a few hours. There's also an endless mode for all the masochists out there. Lots of fun, I recommend it Full Review

Great little dungeon crawler Easier to pick up and play than traditional dungeon crawlers. Good amount of gear, spells, and abilities. Continual updates (years later!) keep things new and interesting . Love the old-school pixels too. Probably my favourite phone game of all time. Full Review

Fantastic game! If you are a fan of roguelikes or dungeon crawlers this game is your game. The random map layout and iteams means you won't play the same game twice. However, the level themes are the same in the story (which is fine by me) and in endless the themes get a bit repetitive, which I can understand. After beating both the story and a long playthrough of the tower, endless mode, the game left me wanting more! I wish they added more options, like races, and I wish you could see the armor on the character. Full Review

After two hours, haven't found a single flaw Probably the best rpg I've played on a phone. Thought it was a bit too easy at first but I now remember you can choose your difficulty level when you start. The chapters are just the right length and the enemy variety is pretty decent. Loads of different skills and I like the fact that I can still charm monsters or heal even as a fighter class. I'm gonna go back to playing some more now, if you don't mind. Full Review

Awesome game but would like one thing. I love playing this game. I love challenging roguelike rpgs. I was wondering if a directional pad could be added to the movement controls. I think it would make movement so much more simple. Tapping can be a little hard at times and sometimes swiping is a bit unresponsive. Other than that, I think everything else is awesome the way it is. Full Review

Quite entertaining. When you first start playing it seems like it might be too simple, but there is a lot of fun strategy with movement spells and so on. Definitely worth playing for a few weeks and when bored our on a plane. I'm going to go through all acts. Full Review

Stellar rogue like The game play is fantastic. Just wish they would do something about ui and misclicks. I'm always accidentally using items instead of skills or waiting instead of attacking! As a whole though it's a very charming game Full Review

Great, actually! Was looking for an Android game that provides similar challenges and atmosphere to Demon Souls and found it here. I tried a couple of other games before this and, although this is similar to pixel dungeon, I like this game much better. There seems to be a bunch of expandilibilty as well with the ability to unlock various classes of heros. Definitely recommended! Full Review

The movement is shocking. (Tap/swipe). It feels like such an effort, I will keep the game installed and hope in the future an update on it will sort it. I have absolutely no idea how people who gave 5* don't see the issue. Full Review

I really enjoy this game... or at least I did. Seems something has changed in the RNG, and for some reason act 3 on hard is now impossible with the fighter. Faith based spells have vanished, never find them anymore, also game is very stingy with armor, or anything actually useful. Ive beat the game with every class on normal and hard, except act 3 with the fighter. Seems it cant be done anymore. Something needs adjusting in drop rates, and Ill put back to 5 stars. I shouldnt feel like im failing because the game wont give me any equipment, rather than just my own mistakes. Full Review

Brilliant, but while playing the premium alchemist class I've died six times in a row from, "gravity". If it wasn't for the lethal posibility of blasting yourself over edges into a hole, water, lava, green stuff - instant death, I would give five stars. It's that frustrating. Full Review

I absolutely love this game, however there is one glaring flaw. One major thing this game is missing. It saves the game to your phone and not to a cloud, so if your phone breaks, is lost, or upgraded you are gonna have to redo everything all over again. I have already unlocked this game twice, and may do so again because I enjoy the game but why can't you have a cloud that saves our information like every other modern game? Full Review

New best rogue-like Great little game. Great pixel graphics. Good choice controls and interface design (except the Wait button and items are too easy to hit by accident). My wish list... Companions that follow and can be given broad orders (attack from range or charge etc.). More predesigned areas in maps (temples, rope bridge, flammable terrain), more simple sandbox choice, like whether to go save someone, avenge a companion, hunt down a companion that stole your stuff, defend a base, seek an item. One star for alchemist's gun pushing the player character into pits which results in an INSTANT DEATH. That should not be a thing. Period. Also: The Pugilist class can't use Tomes. Not only is it a dumb mechanic with an even dumber excuse, but the game DOES NOT tell you that it's even a thing until you try to use a Tome. The Magic Burn mechanic is just as stupid, but at least there is a warning for it. Full Review

Very good At first I thouht this was just another pixel clicker/slasher game, but there is surprising depth to it. The classes are truly different, interesting spells and items, and challenging difficulty. A great tablet roguelike, and there is obvious inspiration from Nethack and others. Also, the microtransactions are nonintrusive and able to be worked around by playing, a great model. Full Review

Fun, Gritty Rogue-like Several years ago, I first played Cardinal Quest on Newgrounds, and it, at once, became one of my favorite games on that site. CQ2 surpasses its predecessor in every way. CQ2 presents a simple, clean dungeon-crawling experience that focuses on dungeon-crawling, not inventory management. Full Review

Variety and Fun I was hesitant getting into this and after the first couple of battles, I still wasnt enjoying it. Now, as I progress, it reminds me of a solo DnD. I would give it 5 stars except that I think they should a companion or pet system and have better conjuring spells. If you stick to your class weapon and skills, it becomes really well balanced and superrrrrrr fun. Full Review

Ehh. Alright looking game marred by crap controls. Lots of nice little interface conveniences like not asking if you want to equip lesser items. Needs tap-to-move controls like Pixel Dungeon, Caves, and Hoplite. Is there a story? Is there a manual? How do the Faith and Intelligence mechanics work? This seems like a half-finished game idea. An Amazing Roguelike The fact that this game has many options to customise one character is one of the reasons why this is good. Add in a no punishment for death (aka morale) and multiple characters makes this game better. Also, it was good to ask me to rate after beating Asterion (which was the only reason why I rated). Controlling your character is not always easy. More than once i found myself using precious items in the middle of nowhere simply because i wanted to move down. Also, if you are even a little off with your alignment in where you tap/hold it may have you go in the wrong direction. More than once this has lead to losing what would have been a promising run. So yeah, other than the bad controls the game is pretty good. Been playing on Kong since it came out. Full Review
