Chess in your Android

Chess is a board game for two players. It is played on a square board, made of 64 smaller squares, with eight squares on each side. Each player starts with sixteen pieces: eight pawns, two knights, two bishops, two rooks, one queen and one king. The goal of the game is for each player to try and checkmate the king of the opponent. Checkmate is a threat ('check') to the opposing king which no move can stop. It ends the game.

During the game the two opponents take turns to move one of their pieces to a different square of the board. One player ('White') has pieces of a light color; the other player ('Black') has pieces of a dark color. There are rules about how pieces move, and about taking the opponent's pieces off the board. The player with white pieces always makes the first move. Because of this, White has a small advantage, and wins more often than Black in tournament games.

Chess is popular and is often played in competitions called chess tournaments. It is enjoyed in many countries, and is a national hobby in Russia.

This is by far the best chess "trainer" for me. It's got a nice flow and the game isn't "stupid" like most other chess apps/games I've played. I plat at least a few games every night and I feel like it give me a nice challenge and makes me really think about the moves I'm making. Especially at the higher difficulty levels. Overall a great chess app with no glitches and a good brain inside of it. A must for a chess player with any real skill at the game. Full Review

I love this game and the best brain exerciser game ever in the history. The cool 3d view makes the game as if I am playing on the real board, very good graphics. However, it doesn't show the list of killed chessman during game play the only drawback. I am expecting this upgradation and this will be the perfect Android chess. Full Review

For the non experts, let me tell you that 5his game cheats. I sat with a real chessboard to analyse why wasn't I able to crack master level. And what i observed was it didn't allow you to make actual moves when you show high levels of intell8gence. Sometimes it makes moves which are faulty. I think there is some mistakes in coding, perhaps deliberately made. So not a fair play but a foul play. Full Review

it's just a chess game yea, but it actually looks nice for a change. most chess games are really boring because all they have are symbols and very rarely, possibly sound. when you think it's boring that means you don't like chess, but not the app. what do you expect? guns and explosions? didn't think so. So far it's o.k. I like the fact that it is simply a chess game with no fancy sound effects or graphics. I see no real reason to have the higher difficulty levels locked out until they are beaten but they are. I got it to practice with. It is useful for that. It's not bad...Just a simple down to earth chess game Full Review

The game has been drawn because the other player has no legal move and is not in check. If they can ot move then I win because they cannot move to a legal position. The computer ends the games too early because they cannot be bothered to chase you around the board. You cannot unlock the higher difficulty games because it just says draw. Full Review

Not 100% sure how that works but the other person has their king and it's a stale mate and I have practically most of my pieces but to unlock harder levels I have to win. Does stalemate not count? I think its pretty stupid Full Review

You can easily get hooked on this specific Chess game and it's graphics. You can't advance without beating each level, and that I can respect. It's an ongoing challenge against the AI. Surprisingly, I've made it to the Master level on 2 devices. Hoping for an <> from this developer soon. Thanks for reading. Full Review

This game is lovely game but in hard level, master level it's playing fake. So requesting the developers team pls remove the fake steps and provide the exact game for us. In master level, everytime am failing to beat, I didn't understand why am failing but finally I found that it's giving wrong steps to the system and win the game. So please adjust the game and provide the correct game. Thanks Full Review

When white got checkmate, pop-up is coming and saying that you lost the game. That pop-up should be a transparent so that player can see the checkmate steps and he can understand his mistakes. Or else instead of a pop-up you can disable all re-do, un-do options and you can show a small notification on the screen saying that you lost the game. Full Review

While it is good for the most part. At points the game will stop calling a draw stating that the player has no more valid moves left when in reality there are still valid moves left. At points you won't be able to move your pieces and the game will state that the move is invalid bit in reality the piece should still be able to move ie not letting you move a knight when it could take out a piece from the other colour. The overall game works as it should, but there is a flaw: to unlock levels one has to complete the previous one. It is impossible to get past beginner level, because the game keeps giving up! How am I supposed to best the NPC if it keeps forfeiting? Full Review

Everything was fine and easy until I reached the candidate level. I had beaten the AI in a streak untill the expert level. Then came the candidate level. My pawns started getting disappearing, mind you not getting eaten or killed but disappearing, even when they were in a safe position. My pawns weren't even replaced with the AI's even to the least. 😂😂😂 The code is all faulty is you notice. I'm very disappointed with this. Full Review

With so many chess games out there charging is a gamble. Especially when it's charging for difficultly levels. Paying for different boards, pieces, or backgrounds makes sense. However, greed comes to mind when charging for difficultly. Other than that this is a great intuitive chess simulator. Full Review
