Characters who change jobs will be returned to Level 1 and have their attributes halved, but they will retain all the spells and abilities theyâve learned, allowing you to tailor your team to perfectly suit your needs.

Travel across multiple continents and dungeons as you level up your characters and unlock new spells and abilities. The personality system changes how your character grows making your party always unique. Mini-games like medal collecting to unlock powerful new items that were not available in the original release. FYI: This is a port of the Japan exclusive Super Famicom version (Super Nintendo in Japan). I have played Dragon Quest III on the GBC, and this is almost the same. There are a few things the Super Famicom version did not have, that the GBC version did because the GBC version was made after the Super Famicom remake. The game plays really well for a smart phone port. The controls are comfortable. I don't play smart phone games because of touch screen controls, but I caved and got this. The graphics and music are the exact same as the Super Famicom version, so its beauty was carried over well. I highly recommend starting with DQIII if you have never played a Dragon Quest game. Great game, and one of thr best in the entire mainline series. Full Review

Fascinating game, of an open-world, player-directed design lineage that we rarely see in JRPGs anymore. This port isn't perfect, but it's solid and mostly well considered. Occasional bugs and crashes are present, but I found that keeping everything updated helped. Terrific localization, from the group responsible for the writing style seen in all other modern Dragon Quest installments. Full Review

I enjoyed this game very much. I enjoyed the first two DQ games too. I've played all of the Dragon warrior games on the NES and game boy color. This was a great port of a wonderful of an old game. I shall be playing the rest of the Dragon Quest games on my phone also. I think some people look for shortcomings in these ports. I look to have some fun and enjoy myself Full Review

Unfortunately not all devices are fully supported by this app. After playing for several hours on a Pixel XL the game crashes repeatedly when I try to place the sixth orb on the pedestal so I can't complete the story... Square Enix was not helpful when I contacted them either. Full Review

The game is great. I had the crash problem after getting the 6th orb on my sony xperia phone but i put the phone in airplane mode and i got past the cut scene and the game gets really good tward the end. So if your game is crashing after placing the 6th orb on the pedistol try putting you phone in airplane mode, it worked for me. 5 stars best dragon quest game by far Full Review

Game started out fantastic. Controls well enough, and looks great on my Pixel, but I reached the point where I have to place the six orbs on the pedestals to wake up the bird, and it crashes every single time. I've tried at least 20 times, but it always shuts down during the short cutscene. Not worth the money if the game will not allow you to finish it. Full Review

This is probably the best version of the game, unless you can speak Japanese. The accessibility, enhanced music, and modernized translation outweigh the few things that were cut from the Super Famicom version (again, only in Japanese!), and even the fan translation of that is shoddy, with some bad bugs and dialogue. Get this game, it's brilliant. Full Review

A great port and very glad I found it. One complaint would be all of the name changes which don't always make sense and the translation errors. But overall good for a time waster Full Review

Works just fine on asus memopad with lolipop This is an excellent game that works just fine on my device. My only complaints are install size, the graphics not being any better than the Super Nintendo for the size, and the portait only setup. I know control options are not that big on a game like this but at least give us orientation or even keyboard or remote controls for those of us that play on devices connected to keyboard or external displays. But since that won't happen you get no more than 3 from me. Full Review

Great time sink! Better than part DW 1 & 2. Must buy If you enjoy old style RPGS this is a must get..well balanced..only issue was getting game to work. Wouldn't work for over a year on my LG G3 but upgraded to S7 edge and worked like a charge. A believe ART may have been active on that phone...NOT sure since I traded Lg G3 phone in. Full Review

Don't pay for this. They removed enemy anination, I don't see any of the art they talk about in the description and they don't support landscape mode (phone sideways) so it's uncomfortable to play. Waste of money for something you can emulate better for free. Gimme a break. Full Review

The game is great,I have no problems on the Galaxy S7,the only thing that would've make the game GREATER would be the battle animation of the monsters just like the one on the GameBoy Color, come on SquareEnix,it's your same game!! It's okay that you took off the CloudSave so the game can work properly but you didn't had to take out the battle animation for the monsters,I know you can do better, you have A LOT of people who LOVE this game,me included,so can you guys at least bring back the battle animation for the monsters on your next update?? Please??!!!... Full Review

Good game only thing that sucks on the remake is y'all took away the pachisi tickets that allows you to play the board game winning rare weapons and armors, don't know why y'all did that...... Kinda ruins an old school game for people who grew up with dragon quest Full Review

Good remake, not perfect mobile game. It's a good remake of the classic Dragon Quest 3 for the NES/SNES, although they tried to replicate the cumbersome menu system of the classic. I wish they made it more mobile phone friendlier rather than trying to keep the looks and feel of the original game. Full Review

A Good Update of a Classic Dragon Quest 3 is a mobile port the same game from the Super Nintendo. Controls are okay as select most commands through button presses, but the buttons may be a little small for those with wider fingers. But fortunately it asks for confirmation of every action so you will rarely do commands that you didn't mean to do. Sprites are crisp but lack any battle animations. Ultimately it's a solid game but has a few sharp difficulty spikes Full Review
