Roguelike meets RPG meets Puzzle game in Dungeon Ascendance!

Not played before? Try before you buy: Free version available! (link below)

Choose one of twelve brave heroes then conquer a dungeon filled with monsters and loot! Use a tactical mixture of abilities, items, spells and cold, hard steel to fight your way to the exit. But beware! The stairs are guarded by a fearsome Dungeon Master who isn't planning on letting you past.

The full version features twelve classes with unique abilities, fifteen dungeons and a whole lot of tactical rpg-puzzle gameplay. You also get a full achievements system including unique challenges for every class.

If you completed the Free Version you can unlock your progress in this version - so you don't lose anything upgrading!

Brand new graphics from ShroomArts! Not exactly pixel art, but in the great tradition of 16-bit and console RPGs. Veterans note: the old tiles are still available from the Config menu.

So why do we call Dungeon Ascendance a roguelike puzzle game? DA has the random, proceedural level generation of a roguelike, the turn-based combat of a roguelike and the varied classes of a roguelike. But it also has the level-by-level, strategic 10-minute satisfaction of a puzzle game. There's never just one solution to a level but the game feels at least half a puzzle.

Compatible with Android phones and tablets. Care has been taken so the game runs well on low-end devices.

This game is fun. Big fun. And unless a little subtraction is beyond your capabilities, it won't be too tough for you --don't listen to other reviewers. Like turn-based, strategic fun? Look no further Full Review

Exactly what I wanted Been wanting to play desktop dungeon on my phone. unfortunately the android version of that game is tablet only. So I got this game instead. (plus it's way cheaper). Been loving it so far, developer is very nice and responsive. The differences in this game from desktop dungeons are refreshing and differentiate it enough to not feel like a cheap knockoff. Worth every penny. Full Review

Very challenging Prepare for death upon death when playing. Serious strategic gameplay is needed to succeed, to the point of measuring when to level up and against which creature. Simple math is a must to calculate different outcomes and choose the best path. And even after all this sometimes levels simply are not possible to solve. Still an excellent entry in the genre, which brings a lot of different strategies, heroes and monsters. Full Review

A hard but good game. Firstly I must say ignore the people who rate this game 1 or 2 stars because it's too hard. I would rate the game 4 stars but feel 5 is fair to balance others unfair ratings. Yes the game is hard but that's what makes it fun. The game is a challenge. The idea surely derived from desktop dungeons and that's okay! I have really enjoyed playing this game and look forward to future content. Full Review

Brilliant game with a great new look I love the new look and graphics. I bought this game at release and it has continued to be one of my most played games. I must have sunk 50+ hours into it! A strong roguelike, well supported by dev. Fantastic value for money! I like support indie devs who really care about their games. Full Review

A true challange There is no easy way trough. And even though some here complain: this game is not for you. This is for those who like a good challange, Plan 10 steps ahead! If you like that in a game, this is a good one :) Full Review

Gwych A very clever game. All of the levels can be defeated on all of the characters, but some will take many (many) attempts. A good mental arithmetic workout! (I much prefer the 'old' graphics) Full Review

Thanks for making a challenging game It's very refreshing to see a game these days where you aren't entitled to win just because you press play. Seeing the babies on here complaining about the difficulty makes me sad. Yes, you actually have to think to win this. But you will feel a sense of achievement when you finally figure it out. This is a game worth playing. Full Review

TOO TOUGH! I know the company says the harder levels are solvable, and I'm sure they are, but anything beyond the basic levels is far too difficult to be even remotely enjoyable. I wanted an enjoyable time waster, but this game is so frustrating, I won't be playing this game any more. And, bizarrely for such a difficult game, there is no marketplace for buying power ups. I really hate micro purchases, but this game needs them, badly. To bad. Full Review

Great little puzzler/RPG Great for a little turn based time waster with some re playability. The difficulty level really depends on which class you select and once you unlock some of the new classes the game can become a breeze, but you can still be entertained by the different kinds of game styles available to the classes. I hope we will see a sequel or an update someday. Full Review

Holy crap, warn before losing knight charge please This class is unplayable without this feature and it makes me very sad. Other than that, awesome game. This is a math puzzle, which is awesome. "Normal" roguelikes are hard because of randomness. This one is hard because you're not good enough at math. Full Review

nice visuals Not so sure that I'm a fan of the roguelike aspects however I feel that this game is really put together well. It has nice sound effects and great visuals. I'llc ross my fingers that they make a new game one day with a bit more of a forgiving system to it. Full Review

Great. I have had three different phones over the past two years and I always find myself coming back to this game. My question: any plans on coming out with some sort of cloud save? I love this game but I have found myself restarting progress over and over. Thanks for your work! Full Review

Too hard for me I was quite pleased with the free version. Therefore I purchased this paid version to try out new classes and new maps. But I was stucked since then, i was unable to unlock any new class and new map no matter how hard I try. The paid version has too many mana controll monsters, my hero running out of mana too easily Full Review

Its nice that you guys appreciate the game is too hard for most players, however, when your customers repeatedly bring to your attention an issue they have with your product... Maybe you could take a look at their issue instead of basically telling them tough ****. I have not played enough to get to the upper levels yet, so I'm not sure how hard it is, but after reading the comments with your replies, it's obvious that your ability to work with the people that are paying you is pathetic. 1 star is deserved Full Review
