Great app, I love subscribing for the decent rate and getting youtube red with it. However I am on the Razer Phone and it seems that the past few updates have been causing a bug on my platform. Regardless of whether I am streaming music via WiFi or on a carrier data plan it won't allow me to skip or skim ahead along the song timeline, it instead forces the song to start over however I can use the skip and skim feature on songs downloaded on the device,. I really like the selection of music and the smart stations. But the application leaves a lot to be desired. Here are some features I would love to see in 2018 : - lyrics for current song, ideally with current word or verse highlighted - see full album art on the play screen (currently cropped based on screen size and orientation) - ability to rate (up/down) from the lock screen, currently requires unlocking the phone - the up/down buttons change from being either side of the play controls in portrait, to both being on the right in landscape, please make it consistent Full Review

Solid app, but some spots for improvement - larger buttons (pause, next song, etc) to make it easier to change songs or playlists while driving. I would also love to see some increased functionality for creating playlists quickly from the mobile app. Final thing, when using music and maps while driving, the mini-map always appears over the music controls. Perhaps if the mini map were a bit higher, it would not obstruct the controls. Enjoying my experience over all though! Full Review

I have been hunting for the best Music Player app for the last 6 months and then I finally got to know about the upload feature in the Play Music. I uploaded my whole library of music and now it is beautiful. I have Android TV and I can play music in that too. No need for plugging a USB into it. Play music is too good. I don't know why it has only 3.9 rating. 👍It auto update the missing metadata. 👍It shows YouTube videos for the uploaded songs. 👍It auto corrects the song if your song is missing the whole length. There is no match for the Google's art in any kind of field. The app features a damn attractive user interface and provides unmatched quality of Music. But the only thing that is pretty irritating is the adds ! Common team, it's Google Play Music from Google. Being such a great company, I don't think including the adds in Google apps fair at all. I hope the team will fix it the adds free version to provide the users an unmatched and tremendous Music experience. Full Review

Needs some help in it's interface for folks with bigger hands. Why to easy to delete songs from lists when scrolling up or down a playlist, and the box to undo needs a longer timer. NEXT would be 5 🌟 for this alone the ability to change track without unlocking or waking the mobile device, such as use the long press or double press on the volume rocker to change the track. Some other small things but for real google buttons that only have one function are so 2005! Full Review

I know Google would prefer us to buy a pixel which has no headphone jack but why stop the app working with phones which have jack's seems a little extreme. (yes I have tried all the suggestions on their support and forum sites to no avail), I'd switch back to apple but they started this stupidity. How quickly they forget that the reason mobile technology is ubiquitous is because of adherence to common standards, how long before android phones only work on approved Google networks? Full Review

For a default stock app I don't want to be forced to subscribe to listen to my music. I set it to 'Downloaded only' and that then shows at the top in red. I don't need my configuration settings to show. This I think is done so you accidentally click on it to turn it off. Also when I search for songs there is no easy way to play them all without manually adding each one to the queue. It could use further refinements but this would help in making it a usable player. Other than that I have no other problems with the app. But these issues should be addressed soon Full Review

This is a very good app and is my primary music player. However, it does lack a few important features. One of the most important ones, in my opinion, would be to see the length of an album/playlist when selected, as available on the PC client. Another important feature, which is available in the browser on PC, would be to see the number of times I have listened to a specific song, which is currently not available anywhere in the app. Hopefully these are implemented! I enjoy using Google Play Music for all of my music needs, though the app is missing several features that are incredibly useful. Full Review

Google, we can spare a second for long press if we want to remove a song. Please change that feature. Can you add a good equalizer to this app? If we can't play this in third party music players, we want some plus points too. A good sound system is not too much to ask, is it? Full Review

Based on the 15 day trial, it looks like the app/service suggests ONLY regional and Hindi music. I spoke to the CC and according to them you have to train the app for it to suggest international tracks. The radio is regional and Hindi only. There's no option for international radio. Can't change or train that. Changing language preference to "world" doesn't work either. The home screen playlist suggestions work based on what you listen. It reset back to Bollywood as soon as the trial ended. I disabled the app as soon as that happened. Currently I'm on Apple Music's 3 month trial. I like it so far. The suggestions and the radio stations are quite nice. The app isn't good but at least the suggestions are better. Full Review

Here's the facts: It's basically the same as all the other streaming services, BUT you actually get some additional features like unlimited song skipping, and you can rearrange the playlist. It's Pandora on crack! Also, the offline music features are really great for road trips or saving data. I find myself constantly chromecasting with this. It's awesome! 1 issue: there's no way to shuffle in Android auto mode. That also goes for voice control during Android auto mode I cannot force it to shuffle a playlist, this seems really strange to me. Full Review

About a week ago, Google Play Music had a major update and now when I go to my music library it doesn't show any of the music stored on my phone (except for 10 songs I added after the update.)  If I view the contents of the Music folder on my SD card I can see all the songs Google Play Music can't find and I can select any of the songs and open it with Google Play Music.  But I want all the music that's actually on my phone to show up in my music library so I can play it all on random shuffle. I do not have a subscription and do not intend to get one.  I just want to be able to see songs I already own that are already on my phone. Full Review

Some feedback.... While this app is great, it is lacking a few features. Firstly, within a playlist, there is no option to order by song name, artist name, album, etc, like you can on the desktop version. This is a pretty basic feature on a music app..... In addition, when you add albums to playlists using the app, it stuffs up the ordering of them, unlike on the desktop version. Lastly, it would be great if there was an option to only display google play playlists and not include other playlists on the device. Thanks. Full Review

Imagine that you buy $1000 Android smart device and you have a lot of music on your SD card from your previous smart device and you want to listen on your new smart device with Google Play Music. You need to make a few simple and easy steps: Spend another $500-600 or more for computer, Download your music from your smart device to your computer. Install Google play music on your computer, drag your music to google play music and you are all set. Very easy. I've never been so upset since 2010, when I buy iPhone. And I threw it into the trash once I realized that you are so much restricted. And you ask your self "Why I spend so much money? A lot of money." Every single music player in this world have an option to create playlist with the music on your device and play it , except Google Play Music. Please tell me honestly why? Tell me one good reason, really good reason and I will buy a computer to play my music on my Android device with Google Play Music Full Review

I've got 5 gigs of music, on a 16 gig phone. I would love to pay for the subscription but the free version doesn't work properly. When I choose a radio stream or artist stream every song doesn't play automatically, then when it does start playing it skips to the middle or last 30 seconds of the song so you don't actually listen to much. BEST MUSIC APP! Not sure why there are so many bad reviews here. I suspect many of them are having problems with their devices, not the app itself. I have been a paid subscriber for probably 6 years, and have access to every song I've ever wanted. I use it heavily, and it works flawlessly... wether it be on my phone, casting to TV, Bluetooth, or on my PC! In addition to music I also have a stand up comedy station it created for me. If you create stations or just pick one it will also download music for you when your on wifi. Then as you listen it will automatically rotate out and download more music next time your on wifi without you having to do a thing, thus keeping your music fresh and ready to go at anytime for when your offline or are just conserving data by not having to stream on mobile network! I highly recommend this app! Thank you Google! Keep up the fantastic work. Full Review
