Evil stirs beneath the Spine of the World.

In the northernmost reaches of the Forgotten Realms lies the region of icy tundra known as Icewind Dale. Journey deep into the Spine of the World mountains, a harsh and unforgiving territory settled by only the hardiest folk. Encounter fearsome beasts that have learned the cunning and ferocity needed to survive among the snow-shrouded peaks. Confront an evil that schemes beneath the carven glaciers and mountainsides to wreak destruction upon the face of Faerûn. This is the world of Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition.

Originally released in 2000, Icewind Dale is a Dungeons & Dragons game set in Wizards of The Coast's legendary Forgotten Realms. This Enhanced Edition allows a new generation of players to experience this epic adventure.

Old school RPG Anyone not liking this game should have done there research before purchase. It's by far the best port I've seen on the play store. Game play is true to form to the PC version and dad been adapted well to a touch screen format. Recommend to anyone who likes a little nostalgia from the early turn based hack 'n' slash days! Awesome game. Great port of a classic pc rpg. Very well done port. Almost seems like the game was originally made to play on a touch screen interface. If you like isometric pc rpg and haven't played this yet or you want to play again I highly recommend this game. $3 for potentially hundreds of hours of gaming. Character and party customization is nearly limitless. Uses 2nd edition DnD rules and beautiful old school 2d sprites. Only issue is it can be hard to read on small displays at high res and a stylus is almost required. Full Review

I love this. Compared to Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, it's more linear, and your party characters are not relevant to the story. But in terms of gameplay, atmosphere and scale it's better still. The combat is just perfectly weighted. Anyway, buy it. There's plenty of PDF manuals available online for those complaining that they don't understand how to play. I've been playing on a Note 4, and while a bigger screen would definitely be better, it is totally playable on my phone. Amazing work, Beamdog. Thanks! Full Review

I tried Icewind dale many years ago, and dropped it because "it was too hard, its impossible to play it!" And now, 15 years later I'm enjoying it. Sure, it's set in completely different tone than Baldurs gate and is not *more* but *totally* combat oriented, however still it is great game and interesting to play. Recommend for anyone who likes dungeon crawlers, since there is not too much story in it. Full Review

Endless Replay Value I played the original Baldurs Gate and Baldurs Gate 2 and all their expansions way back in the day and spent countless hours doing runs with different parties and solo runs on the highest difficulty. I enjoyed this game just as much as I enjoyed Baldurs Gate way back when and now I plan on doing a solo run with my maxed out F/M/T on HoF mode. Replay value is utterly infinite in games like this if you enjoy perfecting characters and parties. I will continue to play Icewind Dale for years. Full Review

This was the ultimate game to build the perfect party and run them through countless times gathering the best loot. Final battle was harder than I remembered on the PC from years ago. One of my fave along with BG1&2. Still playing after months and keeping putting together ultimate parties for multiple run throughs. Pros: Voice acting has a pretty great variety. Creating epic god like party hacking across the ten-town area Still visually good after years. Great linear story line. Awesome extra races / classes / weapons added from vanilla. Cons: None...don't complain about the price...this game will last. Full Review

Used to work fine I'd give this 5 stars, but it stopped working properly. I got through the hand, stopped playing for a while then jumped back on. The title screen is black, but if I guess where the options are, I can click stuff. The gameplay is fine, but I can't get a game going the way I want. I am using a galaxy S3, and would love to keep playing this game, I used to play this game way too much on PC. Full Review

Can't download this for some reason. Paid but I get to about 40% and it says can't download... Tried 4 times, same result. On a Google Pixel too. Anyone had similar issues? Is there a fix? Loved this game inmensely in the early 2000's though on PC! WOULD easily give 5 stars if I could play it! Full Review

Amazing to be able to Play this on a Phone I love this game! I spent countless hours playing this in the early 2000s. The controls are easy enough to understand and the text is legible on my LG V10. I don't if I'd be able to read it on a smaller screen, they are not kidding when they say this is meant for tablets. If you've got a tablet or phablet I can't recommend this game enough. Full Review

Prefer it to Baldurs gate as I can roll all my characters. More combat orientated and less of a story, which allows me to focus on the bare D&D mechanics. Playing on moto g 3rd gen. There is a bug when casting group spells. For instance when casting bless the characters glow in a psychedelic hue. Apart from that, on a small screen its fine. You can increase font size and zoom in on the screen. The buttons are a little small and choosing spells can take a few attempts, pity interface can't be zoomed in. Edit : Finally completed it Jan 2017. Quick tip, Don't fight the last boss, do Heart of Winter and Trials of Luremaster (before last part) if you want to keep all your stuff. Top game. Full Review

Great, but even better with a tablet I played this game as a child right when it first came out... It was nice to see this game come to Android. Even on an older phone (Samsung Galaxy S3), this port looks wonderful, sounds wonderful, and runs wonderfully, no framerate or performance issues. However, it is difficult to play with the size of the interface on a small screen, but that is more of a limitation that results from the sheer size of the game, not lazy design. Must buy for tablets, but phone users may be frustrated by this trivial issue. Full Review

Will not start on my Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T713 with stock or Lineage ROM. Worked fine on the SM-T710 model. Very disappointed as this was my go to game. I could easily pass an hour or two with it when commuting. Still to complete this timeless classic as I only play it ironman style. Full Review

Non Noob Played the original as a kid and then about every 2 years since.. Played this on PC, was not as good as the original, characters are less diverse, difficulty seems significantly decreased, even on the higher settings.. Then I played it on my phone and those things immediately didn't matter, I could just be somewhere and play Icewind dale.. Anyway, 4stars because some buttons near the edge of the screen do not always work, which gets frustrating and the characters seem to have lost around 2/3 of their vocab Full Review

Bought the game but keep getting at error message stating I haven't bought it. Tried all the troubleshooting methods, still no luck. Eventually approached Google for a refund, they tell me to contact the developer. Contact Beamdog, they say I need to contact Google. Disappointed with the service from both companies, would not recommend. Would love to play this game, but now all I want is a refund. Full Review

Fantastic This is great. I played through this so many times growing up. It is exactly the same game with a few tweets that make it that much better. Just as an fyi to anyone out there that gets confused about Easthaven. Once you leave, you can't go back, because the pass is snowed in. That is the second story break in the game. Full Review

Endless replay ability Let's start with one issue and it's a me issue more than anything. Touch screen can be a pain at times but that's just me. I've played through it a couple of times using full groups, 2 man group and a 3 man group and it's still extremely fun. Finding cool gear that I can't use makes me want to play through as a different class to use them. Try weird party compositions for some crazy battles and have a time. I do miss the story elements of baldurs gate but I can just go play that if I want more story. Full Review

The latest version of Samsung galaxy 'My files' application tricked me onto deleting files from the game along with my saves with its annoying constant prompt saying there's low space even though I had space left, and asking me to delete them. The same great gameplay in a tiny package! There was only one flaw I could find- some magic effects don't display properly on my Galaxy S7. Not enough to take away from the game, though. For example, spells that should cause a shimmering effect over a character just turn them into a flashing rainbow disco ball of wonky colors. Full Review

Played the game for 1 hour and it was fantastic. When I went to play it again after the closing the app, thd screen is now completely offset. For any clicking I do I have to click to the left of where I want. Thus, clicking on portraits does not work, I have to click to the left. Or when I want to talk to an npc, I must press to left of their circle. This is extremely annoying, especially since the screen is already very small. Full Review

This is unacceptable!! I used to play this on the Note 5 and it ran beautifully. Now on my S7 Edge it is so slow its impossible to play without minimizing the right side character panels. This issue has been ongoing for almost a year, if not more. What is going on?? I would think that is more than enough time to fix this issue. This is a hell of a game that I have loved since I was a young kid. Now, after paying $10 for this game, I cant play. This is not right. At least put this warning in the description. Full Review
