Still biggest issue. One Text XML line in APK ( a mere ZIP file ) to permit + knowing SD not = EXT SD !! Full Review

I love this app, it's perfect for a beginner to learn the basics and then expand their knowledge. I'm still in the free trial period so I haven't gotten to all the functions and lessons. I personally prefer, so far, the video lessons with the pdf transcripts. However with the transcripts I feel that sometimes more detail would help but for the most part it's spot on. They don't seem to want you to get too attached to the romanization (I think that's how it's spelled) which I realized later on. However I'm personally having trouble with pronunciation were that helps me being able to see it. I'm slowly but surely beginning to understand. The lessons covers a lot of ground and in manageable chunks in which the newcomer is able to understand and retain it quickly. Will update this review as I continue, hope this helps! Full Review

I first found JapanesePod101 on YouTube and loved the videos with the animated characters and the structure of those lessons. Decided to give the app a try and signed up. Had a blast with the 7 day trial and accessing the full videos, but it isn't clear in the app what content is actually premium content and what you can or can't access on the free account. Let it expire and it turns out on the free account you can normally access the first 3-5 episodes or videos in a season, with the rest available with an account. When I first signed up there was a "once in a lifetime" offer to get a premium account for silly money. Wish I had taken it as I haven't had any better offers since. I've since signed up for the mobile account on a 1 month rolling subscription which gives you access to everything on the mobile app but not on the website. This works fine for me. It's $9.99 which was less than £6 a month. Full Review

The app works great, and unlike the website the lessons are actually organized. My only complaint is that if you pause an audio lesson and set it down it magically starts playing again. I would like to see this fixed. I'm about big fan of Japanese pod itself, and think it's a great way to learn Japanese Full Review

Why don't you have learning path embedded in app version. In your absolute beginner path - in website and mobile version- "either...or" phrase has been taught. Are you sure that it belongs to absolute beginner section. There is a huge source but it doesn't make sense when you don't have a systematic teaching program. Full Review

For whatever reason my app looks nothing like the version in the pictures here. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling, mine is still the old app with the old, frustratingly slow interface. I truly have no idea why. It's a shame, because I like using Innovative Language, but the app deters me from doing so. Full Review

I am following the course, enjoying it and making steady progress. My one reservation life's with the formulaic presentation style of the audio lessons. Plodding through the letter by letter breakdown of words I have heard 100 times before, e.g. j-a-g and d-u shows a lack of common sense. Full Review

Respected developers you must understand the state of an absolute beginner. It should start from letters, words, numbers, small phrases, small sentences, grammar and so on .I have learned different languages and speak six languages .Is this how you teach an absolute beginner? This is not how an absolute beginner should be treated. Whenever I learned a new language, my first step was to learn letters. Although the lessons offered for an absolute beginner bear fruitful content, they don't make sense as they are taught an absolute beginner. But when I watched your video on YouTube how you teach Hebrew, it impressed me very much. Because it begins from teaching letters. I appreciate your Hebrew teaching. Full Review

After signing up with Hindi Pod for a free trial I was bombarded with adds pressuring me to sign up. After I signed up the adds didn't go away, it is really offensive. The whole site is aimed at making people sign up not providing high quality content for paying users. Please remove adds for paying customers both on the login screen and inside the application. Really good app but sometimes it takes too long to load audio especially if I skip ahead or behind. Many nice features are all there. the service itself is amazing and deserves 4.5 stars. I am studying Japanese and my spoken and listening ability have noticably improved. It's inexpensive enough to definitely try. I suggest the premium version. Even with this service a lot of people has failed to learn so it still requires the biggest price one can pay: commitment. Full Review

As an absolute beginner in Bulgarian, this app and the associated site really suit my language learning. There are a variety of sequences of lessons in different styles: mostly just audio, but some with video. They are presented with humour by the delightful Eva and her side-kick Jura. They are good, allowing me to pick up the basics, but also contain subtleties I'll appreciate when I encounter them again. An excellent feature is that the same lesson or a lesson using similar vocabulary appears in another sequence. This might seem confusing at first, but it means that revision and relaxation come naturally. Благодаря! Full Review

I'm learning French. The website is better than the app. I find the content of the website to be good but the structure confusing. There's too many paths to choose from and obviously we can't be listening to all videos and podcasts in there. A little bit of directions for students will help a long way. In each lesson in the website, there will be a mix of videos and podcasts. Now for this app, for some reason, they split the sections by podcasts and videos. This to me renders everything disorganized. So I get lost using the app. I prefer the website which is sad as I'm always out and can't use my computer. I am still in the 7 day trial. I'm giving it a couple of days to get familiar with both the website and app. We'll see how it goes! I'll give 4.5 stars for the website, 2 stars for the app. Full Review

If you're studying Japanese at least, this is purely a repackaging of JapanesePod101 materials. So if you have already used or tried those, there's nothing new for you here. There also doesn't seem to be much effort into making the interface usable. For example, when listening to a dialogue with a transcript, you can't press a word you don't know to find out its meaning, which seems like a no-brainer. Overall a low-effort attempt at sucking in new customers with old materials. Full Review

Why can't I do flash cards and link my word bank words with dictionary entries, so I can look at examples of words in use? Also, lack of grammar access without having to download pdf files.
