Bug! Dear developer, Please fix this bug, quite annoying for a high quality game like this. The bug is as follows: - from main menu, press [Downloadable content] - press the [^] button to scroll the list up, sometimes you will see it scrolls the list down! (Which should not supposed to happen) Happy coding, A fan of Layton series. Full Review

This is a great way to get into the game and try out the first chapter which includes puzzles, customization, and exposition. You can decide to purchase separate chapters or the full game, and you can transfer your data as you see fit. I'll mainly be sending this version to family and friends to try it out and hopefully get them hooked on the Layton series. Full Review

Ok, so the game itsself is cute, but it has WAY too much text too try and make it last longer. Skip button should be available. This is a demo btw, not a free game and shouldn't be listed as such. In order to advance past lvl 1, you need to purchase the rest of the game or individual levels. Not worth it. Full Review

I love the layton series. Just one change would make this game perfect: a skip button for the dialogue. The stories are sweet, but I wish they weren't so long. Full Review

I have wanted to try out the Layton series, and I am pretty disappointed. It is just a huge amount of clicking through pointless text - all of the interviews and moving between scenes are 100% meaningless and just a huge waste of time between doing random puzzles. The puzzles are ok, but the description (and associated picture) are often quite confusing and don't properly explain what you are supposed to do - but you permanently lose points for getting the wrong answers required to figure that out. All of this is intertwined in a prominent 'hidden object' interface with awful scrolling controls which clearly originated on Nintendo DS which lacks proper touch support. I would strongly recommend that you try this free version before buying the wildly overpriced full version. Full Review

"Starter Kit" is just a British term for "Demo". You'll finish this episode in one hour and if you don't purchase any more with real money, that's it. No discounts, no sale. I doubt Level 5 will make much money. The demo itself is fantastic if you are familiar or not with the Professor Layton series. Most of the 12 puzzles you are given have you thinking outside of the box, using the ability to write notes on your screen. Full Review

Loved the Layton series on gameboy but this is bad. There is way too much text and the descriptions on the puzzles make no sense. Full Review

Way too much dialogue. Seriously all I wanted to do was try out some puzzles and I end up just tapping away at the screen to cut through about 10 min of speech bubbles. Full Review
