Used to be one of my favorite movie apps until the most recent update. So hard to find anything now. I loved being about to check out my "Want to See" list and then differentiate between what's on DVD (so I know what to rent) and what's in theaters. I used to be able to rate movies in my "Want to See" list and they would be removed from the list since obviously I watched them already. The rest of the amazing features are pretty much gone too. Don't fix what's not broken!! Full Review

Was great, then they got bought by Fandango. It's been downhill ever since. You have to favorite your local theaters since they push sponsored listings to the top of a sort-by-distance list regardless of how far away they are, and you can't see upcoming movies more than a month and a half in advance anymore. What happened to the nice, user friendly app of old? Can't find my local cinemas now, my favourites have disappeared.. Is this progress? Seems unnecessarily complicated now, and I will look elsewhere. Shame really. Edit: recommend CinemApp - miles better! Full Review

The new update is terrible. App is hard to navigate and glitchy. It kept lagging/freezing and showing me a black screen so I had to force close it. I also wish the movies rated section would display like it used to, instead of in a scrolling list. For anyone who has even a moderate amount of movies rated the list format is awful. Please optimize this and then I'll go back to using it! Full Review

The new update erased years worth of movie reviews linked to my FB account, and there seems to be no way to get them back. You'd think an app dedicated to movies would respect individual reviews a little more. Avoid this app if you'd like opinions read and considered. Full Review

The new format is crappy id you have a fave theatre you have to search it to see whats there. All they do now is shove what tje movie makers want you to see in your face. This ap was once about the reviews and where you could see it now its on big commercial. Looking for new App for my movie fun. I suggest YOU keep looking too. Full Review

Used to be a great app. Now does not provide any information on a number of theaters in the area. Totally useless to me. Deleted it and downloaded Fandango. Tried it again. Still does not show a half dozen theaters within 10 miles. What is the problem? Is there some reason why these are not listed. Still useless to me. Would give it zero stars!! Full Review

You absolutely torpedoed your own app for no reason at all. The new interface is awful. It's way more difficult to navigate and makes it harder to find the movies you're looking for, especially the ones in theaters and new on DVD. Revert back to the old version. Until then I'm finding a new app. Full Review

Ever since the last major update to the layout and overall experience. the use of the app has become poor. the app is very slow and now instead of having all the info on one screen it is split between two. please bring back the older layout. it was much quicker, easier to navigate and the trailer playback was much better Full Review

New update is horrible. Not only is it more glitchy and doesn't update you're ratings and "want to see" page fast enough, but the very layout is now much more difficult to navigate and pointless. I mean why the hell would I want to scroll through a 1x1 thumbnail sized page to view my over 200 movie ratings? This update literally brought my rating down from 5 stars to 1 star. I find myself logging on much less lately, and honestly, I might find a better app for the job. Edit: now the "show more" button for my want to see and ratings page doesn't work at all anymore. Used to be a really good app, but ever since they redid their app, things are not working well. I cannot see my full list of "want to see" and a lot of "my ratings" i had in the past are gone. Also, a lot of movies that i type in the search option are missing. Really annoying!!! Its been like this for quiet a while. I dont understand why they are not fixing it when everyone's complaining. They should DO SOMETHING to fix the problem immediately. Full Review

Wow, the new design is horrible! Why fix what isn't broken? Should have known you would mess it up once you became more interested in selling tickets through Fandango! By the way, most people only use Fandango to look when movies are playing. Otherwise just a way to charge another fee when you don't need to. Flixster now stinks and Fandango worse! Full Review

New update is terrible. Intrusive full page ads...which I could overlook if they hadn't messed up the interface and made it much harder to use. Worst of all, they seem to have taken away the feature I liked the most, which was the one that enabled you to add a title to your Netflix queue. Looks like I won't be using Flixster any more. The best part about this app was being able to see what is in theaters now and then being able to save those movies to my Netflix queue. As we all know, Netflix is God awful for searching for anything but Flixter was great since it had all the new movies (that people actually cared about) in one place. Now since they removed Netflix functionality I have almost no use for the app and if I do still use it out will be much slower since I'll have to search for movies on Flixter and then go to the Netflix DVD app to manually search again and finally save it to my queue. This is ridiculous. This update sucks. Bring back Netflix functionality (along with Amazon, Hulu, vudu, etc.) or you will see a drastic drop in users. Full Review

Flixster WAS a great app. Fandango bought Flixster. Fandango update has killed this app. Can't find local theaters, user interface is unfriendly, this app is not worth using any more, which is probably Fandango's way of forcing you to use their other terrible app. Full Review

This was a great app until the developers decided to default movie times to the next day, instead of the same day. For the second time I mistook my movie for the wrong start time since Flixter defaults the timings to next day every time the user opens the movie timing page. It is a poor workflow decision. Most people like to see movie times for the current time. Revert the default day to the current day! Full Review
