Excellent app, really! However consider that not all users earn in dollars. I found the app way too expensive considering currency exchange. Even disregarding exchange rates, it's the same cost as that famous online movie/TV streaming service!! Full Review

I'm using the app to learn guitar. I preferred it when I could see my progress on the flowchart and, to a certain extent, pick the lesson I was doing. Also the app seems to crash and the song gets stuck. Seems to be a bug somewhere. Full Review

I really wanted to get better at the piano. I play, but only off of YouTube videos. I wanted to be able to look at sheet music and easily go through, and in a way "be one" with my piano. My problem is that I have a keyboard type of piano, and this app does NOT like to pick up on the notes, so when I turn it up it says it's too loud, but when I turn it down just a smidge it doesn't pick up my notes. When I'm playing, it constantly stops to tell me that I need to play a note that I have pressed a thousand times. Honestly it's a waste of money, just go on YouTube. There are lots of detailed professional tutorials there that you can learn how to play your song. $10 a month for not even getting passed 3 notes is over my price range. #sorrynotsorry Full Review

I'm an Audio Engineer, trying to dive into the world of Producing Music. Yousician is really helpful and teaches me a lot. I use a MIDI Keyboard hooked up to Logic Pro X with the Steinway Grand Piano Software Instrument. I plug headphones into my phone so Yousician only picks up the notes I play. This setup seems to work really well, my only complaint, not even with Yousician, is that sometimes no note will play despite me hitting the key. But, that has more to do with Logic and my Korg. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to learn an instrument. Even though I'm only learning Piano right now, I'd like to pick up a guitar soon and try it out on here. Full Review

This was a great concept. The app was really helpful. For about ten minutes. Now, I can't get the microphone to pick up my guitar unless my phone is right next to my guitar. I cannot sign up for the premium version because it is too expensive for me to afford right now, so I am stuck with free. I am not getting near enough practice time to make any progress and I am very disappointed in what I thought would be an amazing app. Full Review

This app has been amazing! I haven't felt this successful with an instrument since being in school band class. Even in the free mode I feel like there is a lot to gain from it. In the end the membership isn't that pricey either which makes this all the more doable. Way cheaper than most private lessons locally. Totally fun too. For those skeptical, it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, who knows you might fall in love with it too :) Full Review

A very informative and we'll rounded tool. My first time ever playing any kind of instrument and I feel I've been practicing for months or even years and it's only been two weeks. Takes away any doubt. It could use a few things for the beginners. A small image showing where the correct fingers should be. Especially when learning E, Em, A Am. I had to keep going back to a previous lesson to see how to do it.. overall very happy Full Review

It is a brilliant app, the only reason it didn't get the extra star is cost. It's not perfect unless it's free. Mabey you could have it free and than have over stuff e.g. an extra instrument as dlc. Or have a 1 time pay fixed price for everything at around £10. This would make it more accessible for everyone. Full Review

I have had a guitar for many years. Like most people, I learned a few songs then put the guitar down and only picked it up occasionally. With this app I am excited to pick it up every day. The app teaches in a fun way and I'm actually learning more than repetitive notes and chords. The app tests your ability to begin with, so all player levels can learn plus as a bonus it matches you up with actual songs that you can learn that are at your playing level. GREAT APP!!! I really enjoy the app. It is very effective. I have only had it for a day and I am already playing songs. I only wish to have more free practice time, I go through it really quickly. Also It keeps saying I don't have internet when I have strong connection. Please fix this! It is an amazing app though. I look forward to learning music! ððð Full Review

Was a 5 star app until today. Imagine my surprise when I find that I can no longer play songs from the song library when I don't have lesson despite doing this many times just without the feedback. Disgusting money grab. I will not be paying money to get premium (like I was going to do) to play a handful of songs that are actually relevant to the music world which users actually had to make because Yousician don't. Absolutely sickening. Full Review

Just on level one lead playing every second or 3rd day. Can not wait to pick up the guitar every time. Lots of fun and I can tell I am progressing. My finger placement is already better and I can play a few tunes without looking too much the fret board. There are 20% of songs which are for the excersize and dont like much but the rest are good or brill so get charged up again. One weird lesson keeps comin up about playing open string, which has no use as ut was my 2nd lesson, must be a bug.Regardless keep going guys it is pretty good. Importing songs from you tube so far has not worked but keep trying. Like the idea though. Full Review

Sorry, you either pay 100 dollars or you are stuck with a useless app. 10 minutes per day is just too limited, even for me that I almost have no time to play. The app used to be good weeks ago, now with the new update its just too strict. Full Review

Was gonna start Violin, thought maybe Guitar would be easier. Started youtube videos to begin and just boring and not helpful. This ad popped up, took the free lesson and trial and immediately subscribed! Amazing program here, and super fun. 3 days later im jumping chords, playing basic riffs. Just simply awesome. Practice and the grace of God ill be playing songs in a month at this rate. Full Review

I've tinkered with the piano all my life, but never got lessons. I've struggled to read music and resigned myself to memorizing bars to learn a song, only to have it disappear if I didn't play it every day. I'm learning fast with this app, and think that if I keep practicing I'll finally learn to read music fluently! I'm very excited about this app, and encourage anyone serious about learning an instrument to try it out. Full Review

Was suggested to me and highly advertised for an app to learn piano. I couldn't even get past the tuning section because it wouldn't recognise the notes. It thought D was a C# and G was a high D or that my A was a low B. Skipped and it stopped after 5 notes asking me to play a note I'd already played 6 times but no matter how much I pressed it, wouldn't recognise the note. Waste of my time. Full Review

Very effective app for learning the guitar. One problem: in the free version, after your 20 minute lesson was over you could play songs without feedback however, after the recent update, you can no longer do that so playing the guitar using this app (the free version) is limited to just 20 minutes. It was awesome! I play the electric guitar and in just 2 days I learned more than I did in three months! Also where I live it wouldve costed me $165 a month to get guitar lessons while this only cost me $10! Truly a great investment for all who are trying to learn the guitar, uculele or piano. I've never played an instrument. I'm in my mid thirties. I came across Yousician after searching for lessons on Youtube. Yousician became addictive right away. I figure if I can motivated myself to commit and learn to play the piano, then I deserve to buy myself an electric guitar and learn music I enjoy listening to. Full Review

I absolutely love his app, but limiting your learning time doesn't help. If you could not limit the time, it could help out a lot of people. But overall, I love how it helps you piece by piece. I had no idea how to play the guitar, but before level one, I knew so much! Full Review

Why can't I play without feedback after the free lesson anymore?? It's really infuriating. If it didn't have glitches and sound problems, I'd get the premium version, but it's not worth it with so many problems that you haven't fixed in over a year. Very dissapointing. Full Review

I love yousician. It works like a pro. I've been playing guitar for 3.5 years and I hadn't learnt many songs for my level. When I got yousician I went straight to level 2 and I went flying from there. I've learnt so much. I've learnt so many new songs and I'm on level 4 almost level 5 and I just got this app 3 months ago or so. I'm a swift fan and I'm so excited to be able to learn each song on the guitar. Full Review

To the Developers and Management of this app: you did an amazing job to start, it's fun and easy, thx. I assume some of your best advice comes from the user so here it is. More songs, please, I'm barely at the stage of understanding the scale positions and would love some original "yousician" band songs. I've ran out of songs in my level. Thanks for opening up the other users songs, it's great but also not verified so it could be wrong info going out. On my last note, why take away practice mode? I don't pay yes, why? You charge for a full YEAR no matter what. C'mon. I understand you have bills to pay, guess what, I do to. Make it a month subscription for $5-10 and BAM, I'm in. Who likes contracts for apps? I don't even like contracts in general let alone an app I don't have to have. Cell phones don't even do this anymore, take out the full year term, bring in more songs, more genres in your songs section and you have the greatest unbreakable music app of all time. Add in some tabs and sheet music and I'd buy some stock :) thanks and good luck, please bring back practice mode 24/7 if you aren't switching to m2m only. Full Review

I really appreciate this app because I've always wanted to learn to play the piano and it's giving me a chance with an easy to follow step by step. I love the app. But, I wish it was more accessible for the blind. I am a blind user. And I am having trouble reading what it says and It will not let my screen reader read what it says.
